An Announcement - June 9, 2010

Earlier this year we indicated that Beem Software's studios were shut down due to the effects of the recession. Unfortunately this announcement isn't to state that we our reopening our studios, but we do want to say that we our still working on developing new technology. We don't anticipate full blown development of any video game titles any time soon, but the foundations are being laid. This post is more or less to say that we still exist. We just aren't doing much right now.

Beem Software in Recession - January 6, 2010

Due to the effects of the recession, Beem Software is temporarily closing it's doors. It was with great disappointment that we had to lay off most of our staff. We held out for as long as we could, but in order to avoid bankruptcy we are delaying all of our current projects. Beem Software is not completely dead, but it may be several years before it is back on it's feet.

We are still working with Jack Everett in developing the script and design for our most recent project, but other than story and design, this game will not be in full development until we can obtain funding.

Beem Software will continue to work on private contracts, unrelated to game development.

Beem Software Still Alive - January 11, 2009

Yes, Beem Software is still developing software, even though it has been some time since our website was updated. We have very little to report on, however since our publisher is managing our project. A Lantern in the Dark was officially cancelled, but another project based on the Legacy of Heaven & Hell mythos is in development. We are also working on a puzzle game called Sometimes Y. Chances are within six months we'll have a fully blown demo of the Legacy game.
